Terms & Conditions

By booking and paying for a Luxe Homestays holiday you are agreeing to the following terms & conditions.

Properties – The property is rented out by Luxe Homestays to the guests and it is confirmed that the guests accepts the address as the premises for use of short-term rental only for the dates booked and confirmed. The guests confirm that the property will only be used by the number of guests confirmed for less than or same as the property sleeps. Luxe Homestays acts only as the booking agent between owners and guests.

Bookings – To make a booking with Luxe Homestays, please see our payment conditions as outlined below:

  • All guests must pay a deposit of 50% of the total booking to hold their booking. Please note, booking fees apply which are non-refundable.
  • The remainder of the total cost must be paid within 14 days of confirmation of booking.
  • Please note, credit cards will incur a surcharge of 2%
  • The remaining amount owed will be direct debited from your account or charged to your credit card unless the booking is cancelled where cancellation fees may apply. Please see cancellation terms.

Peak seasons (Christmas/Easter)

During the busy peak seasons such as Christmas and Easter. A deposit of 50% of the total booking must be paid on booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full 14 days after reservation has been made.

Security Bond – All properties managed by Luxe Homestays require a security deposit to be held during your stay. When booking the property the deposit amount will be displayed. The deposit is $1000.00

The properties under our care are finished and furnished with costly materials and products. We ensure to inspect our properties and inventory their contents before and after your stay. Please be aware that you become financially responsible for any damage and loss of contents to the property during your stay i.e. from Check in time to Check out time.

Luxe Homestays will release the deposit after an inspection has been completed on the property. Should the team find any damage or excessive cleaning requirements the guest will be contacted and advised of any additional costs to be taken from the deposit. Any remaining funds will be refunded to the guest.

Cancellations/Refunds – Should you cancel your booking within the following timeframe the following cancellation fees or refunds will apply:

  • 24 hours after deposit paid – Deposit refunded minus a $100 admin fee.
  • 7 days after deposit and full booking paid – (if Luxe Homestays can find a new booking a full refund will be paid minus any booking fees). If no new booking can be found the guest will be refunded 50% of the full payment.
  • 21 days prior to arrival date – No refund will be paid.
  • Any booking fees, linen costs are not refundable.

Guest Information

It is the responsibility of the guest to adhere to these terms and conditions during your stay. You will be required to also adhere to local laws and guidelines regarding short-term accommodation. Please note, any breach may result in termination of your stay and a claim on your security deposit.

Smoking – Smoking is not permitted at any Luxe Homestays Properties unless stipulated otherwise. Should the Luxe Homestays team or owners find evidence of smoking, the guest will be charged a fee to clean any affected areas. This will be taken from the security deposit or charge to your account or credit card.

Parties/Events/Noise – Guests are not permitted to hold parties at any Luxe Homestays Homestays properties. All guests must consider adjoining properties and neighbours and no excessive noise to be made. All guests must adhere to local laws regarding noise.

Pets – No pets allowed on Luxe Homestays properties, unless you are staying at a Luxe Homestays pet friendly property as advertised on the Luxe Homestays website or other advertising platform. Please note, you will need to advise our management team of the type of pet that will be accompanying you. There is a limit of one pet per property and this will be advised to the management team. The owner of the pet is responsible to maintain the pet’s safety on the property. Should any evidence of pets be found on a property that has not been advised to Luxe Homestays management, you will incur cleaning fees to remove any mess made by the pet.

Pet fare fee – $60 per pet.

Children – Please note that Luxe Homestays is not liable for any injuries that may occur on the property. Guests are responsible to ensure all children’s health and safety are maintained whilst at any Luxe Homestays properties during your stay.

Linen – Luxe Homestays properties will provide fresh clean linen and bath towels if requested at booking at a cost of $25 per person.

Cleaning – A cleaning fee will be added to the total booking cost (please see cleaning fee prices on property page). If the property requires extra cleaning instead of our standard clean the guest will be charged an extra cost and this will be deducted from the security deposit or charged to the guest.

A $40 fee will be charged if BBQs are not cleaned.

General Cleaning products – All Luxe Homestays properties will provide dishwashing start-up packs including sponge, dishwashing liquid, or dishwasher tablets. Please note, that a certain amount will be supplied for your stay. Should you require extra these will need to be purchased by the guest.

Check-In/Out time – Our standard Check-In time is 10.00am and Check-Out time is 2.00pm for all our properties. Unless a late check out or early check in has been made by prior arrangement with our management team.

Keys – Guests will be advised of how to gain entry to the property via welcome email or message the day of arrival. Keys can be collected from the property key security lock box or from the Luxe Homestays office. Keys must be returned for all properties as agreed in the welcome email/message. Guests who lose keys during their stay can call our team and a new key will be provided, however a charge out fee of $50 will apply. If guests do not return keys at time of departure to allocated location, the guest will then incur all costs related to changing of locks on the property and this will be charged from the security deposit.

Property Contents – All Luxe Homestays properties have contents that complete the looks of these properties. The building and furnishings can be costly; Our team will inspect these properties after check out. You may be held financially responsible for any damage or loss of contents.

Damage – Please report any damage or breakages to the property to the Luxe Homestays team during your stay. When you arrive if there are any faults to the property please let our team know so as to avoid any costs and we can ensure to fix for your stay.

Criminal Activity – All guests agree that no criminal activity will be undertaken whilst on any Luxe Homestays properties. Should criminal activity be found to of happened or happening, local authorities will be notified and the guest will be subject to any fines or prosecution in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction.

Security – Guests agree to secure property at all times during their stay. When leaving the property, the guest must ensure that all doors and windows are locked.

Parking – All Luxe Homestays properties will advise how much car parking space is available per particular property. Guests agree to only allow the maximum amount of cars on the property. Luxe Homestays will not be liable for any fines incurred by guests in accordance with any illegal parking as advised by local laws.

Loss of Guest property – During your stay you are responsible for your own property and you should take all reasonable steps to ensure your property is kept safe. If any lost property is found by the Luxe Homestays team, we will keep the contents in our possession to be collected within 30 days.

Rubbish – Please ensure to remove all rubbish at the end of your stay in accordance with the property manual. Any excess Rubbish is required to be removed from the property by the guest, including all seafood waste.

Swimming pools/spas – After any use of swimming pools/spas on properties, the guest agrees that all pools/spas, equipment shall be left in the condition it was found in. The Luxe Homestays management team and owner are not liable for any accidents that incur whilst using these facilities. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure all children under age are supervised whilst using these facilities.

School Leavers – Luxe Homestays properties do not accept bookings from school leavers. Luxe Homestays reserves the right to cancel any booking that does not adhere to our terms.

Replacement of property – Due to any unforeseen circumstances, which may arise out of our control, Luxe Homestays will endeavor to provide the guest with a replacement property of similar standard. Should another property be unavailable the guest will be refunded the total cost of their booking.

Wildlife – All Luxe Homestays properties are cleaned and maintained in accordance with our cleaning and maintenance standards and are cleaned on a regular basis. However, as most of these properties are within a regional area you may from time to time encounter wildlife. Luxe Homestays and our owners do not  accept liability for any issues or concerns with wildlife.

Access – We reserve the right to enter a property at any time to protect the property should we find this is required. From time to time maintenance may need to be undertaken however we will contact the guest to advise any works that need to complete during their stay.

Equipment – During your stay should their be a failure or loss caused by equipment or services please notify our Luxe Homestays team as soon as possible so we can try and rectify the issue in the first instance. Please note, Luxe Homestays or property owners do not accept liability or loss caused by any failure. In the event of an emergency please contact emergency services as required.

Limited Liability – All guest who stay at a Luxe Homestays properties agrees and understands to indemnify Luxe Homestays team and property owners against any damages, injuries, death or distress during your stay or any other time. This will include all claims that have been advised to the Luxe Homestays team.

Indemnity – It is important to understand that Luxe Homestays and owners do not accept liability for any personal injury to guests/visitors during their stay. This will include events out of our control. This will include but not be limited to:

Fire, floods, adverse weather, traffic, flight delays, war terrorist activity, civil disobedience, or other force of nature out of our control. We reserve the right to offer no refund or credit due to these circumstances. We recommend travel insurance.
